Few things scarier when you’re driving than having a tire blowout. Tire blowouts are not just inconvenient but can also be very dangerous. Here are some helpful tips to avoid having a tire blowout.
Check the air pressure on your tires regularly. Just because they had sufficient air last week is no guarantee it’s good this week. If your tire pressure monitor indicates low tire pressure, don’t ignore it. Your tire’s air pressure can fluctuate in extreme cold or extreme hot temperatures.
Make sure your tires are in good condition and not showing signs of wear and tire. Have your tires checked frequently especially if you’re doing a lot of driving or are planning a long trip. If the tires need replacing, replace them.
Avoid known road hazards. Even good tires won’t last long if they’re constantly coming in contact with bumps, rocks, and other road hazards.
