It's winter and we're all worried about our cars getting stuck on ice. If you find yourself in this situation, here are some tips on how to get out of it.

1) You need to figure out what type of car you have before proceeding. A front wheel drive vehicle will require a different method than rear wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicles. Rear wheel drives will usually be easier to correct because the engine is located at the back of the car which makes it easier for them to push themselves off with their own power.

2) If your car is on slippery terrain, it is important to turn your wheels slightly towards the direction of the slide. This allows for better traction on your tires and will make correcting yourself easier.

3) Use your emergency brake! Put it on as hard as you can, this will create resistance and make it easier to correct your car.
